Cantiere Corpo Luogo was founded in 2009 as a means to support and promote contemporary art, focusing in particularly on the artist's contextual relationship that he/she creates from time to time. Its foundation is a result of the accrued work by the artistic duo Penzo + Fiore, founders of this cultural association who bring the Cantiere to the forefront. The objectives include practicing the performing language and giving value to the contemporary approach in creating glass while maintaining the Murano traditions. Cantiere’s operational headquarters are located in Murano, but the artistic and curatorial projects are implemented in collaboration with Italians and foreigners outside of the city. Over the years, Cantiere has developed tight relationships with partners located in various parts of Europe, which include but are not limited to Germany, the Czech Republic, England and Portugal.
